Camping @ Granite Lake

We are relaxing after a late night setting up camp, then we had several deer eating right at our camp.........Christina didn't sleep a wink (she thought they were going to eat her, since they were eating right outside the tent near her head - silly girl)..... We are getting ready to go on a hike!



Here are several pictures from a long nature hike.............we all enjoyed the walk and scenery........even Macey (however, she was extremely worn out).........

All in a days work (Seth is making sure we will be warm this evening).......

The deer were literally coming right thru our camp the entire weekend (creepy yet fascinating)........... We all had a wonderful time in the beautiful country of Granite Lake - we'll definitely go back!!

Macey!

Macey was very unsure of getting in the back of the truck.......Seth and his big helper Dylan worked hard to get her in there......Finally - Mission Accomplished! We were getting ready to take Macey on her first camping trip!!!

Our Fat Racoon Friend!!

Macey was barking; which is unusual for her.......Seth went out to see what was going on....... And low and behold there was a racoon in her kennel having dinner. Macey did not like the racoon eating her food, but she was more scared of the racoon than it was of her.........(size doesn't mean anything in her case - as most of you know)!!! Eventually Seth ran the racoon off, but it was quite an experience and he was a fat thing.

Daddy and Dilly!!

While on a 4-wheeler ride up camping at Lost Valley Reservoir! Dilly is over enthusiastic and there is a lack of enthusiasm from Daddy!!! Oh, but how cute they both are!!

A Bit Fishy!!

Jayden is a fish when we go camping. He is in the water almost the entire time. This time he happened to get out of the water just long enough to go fishing with Uncle Josh and catch some fish of his own.......... He is proudly showing off his BIG fish he caught!!! However, he was right back in the water after fishing!!

Beautiful Waterfall!!

While camping at Lost Valley Reservoir (for 4th of July) we went on a 4-wheeler ride and found this waterfall!!! It was pretty tall and there were a group of guys jumping off ...........pretty gutsy. The pictures tell all!

Jayden's First Driving Lesson!!

Jayden's getting his first driving lesson from Seth. He did a great job and will be getting his driver's license before we know it!!!! That's scary - EVERYONE stay off the road!!! Dylan was along for the ride with his life in big brother's hands - he was at ease. He loves and admires BIG BRO JAY!!!

Maren's 40th Birthday Bash!!!

Phrase of the night...........woohoo - this is "my" party bus!!!

We all saw a new and different side of our little Maren......Sheri was in the biggest shock!! We started out at P.F. Chang's with everyone surprising her to meet Scott, Maren, Seth, and I for dinner..........and even her little man "Braiden" was able to join us for dinner w/ Grandma Marge and Grandpa Don.......along with Grandma Burke and Jon, Grandpa Simpson and Chris, Ben, Sheri, Nick, Steve and Rebecca, and Joey.

Then, after enjoying a wonderful dinner we ventured outside to Maren's surprise a Party Bus (Limo) was waiting for us..........Maren enjoyed the pole dancing, drinks, and hanging out with her friends and family......especially her twin devils on her shoulders AKA Nina!!

Then, a few of us hadn't had enough yet and ventured on to Hannah's to dance a little!! After a little dancing and a few more drinks (and a birthday shot), the few party animals that were left parted ways around Midnight to nestle in to our beds (or go wild hog hunting....hehehe)!!!
