Jayden was on the big boys team.............he was a little worried at first, but then he figured out that he would get to play other positions besides just lineman! It was all over after that - he got to try several positions and even tried out for the quarterback position! He did a fantastic job at the many different positions he played!! He played wide receiver most of the season and his coaches and teammates gave him the nickname of "Butterfingers" (self explanatory)!! He has really enjoyed playing football for the Nampa PAL league, but he gets to move on next year and try out for the 7th grade Vallivue Middle School football team!!!!
Below are some pictures throughout the season of our champ!! Way to go Butterfingers!!!
Dylan had a great time playing his first year of flag football. He got a chance to play several different positions, but mostly the line. His coaches and teammates nicknamed him "Hard Knocks"!! Another nickname was small fry, but it soon changed after they saw how hard he hit the other players and was not one bit affraid of the bigger kids. He was great at every position, even thought he was the smallest kid out there............he is a small package of dynomite!!!
Here are a couple pictures of our star!! He is also showing off his medal - way to go DYLAN!!!
The first football games of the season for both Jayden & Dylan. Jayden is on the Junior Heavyweight team, "GLADIATORS"! They are gold-he's #36!! Dylan is on the Flag football team, also "GLADIATORS" (by pure coincidence)! They are red - he's #4!!
They even had a few of their very own spectators!!! Thanks everyone for coming and showing your support!!!
Chad and Jodi were visiting so we took the opportunity for the 6 of us to go out for old time sake............(Chad, Jodi, Wade, Tami, Seth, and Christina)! We also ran in to some long lost cousins of the Vanderpool boys - Rick and Sandy!! It was nice visiting and catching up with everyone. However, things got a little crazy as the night went on, but we all had a blast!!! The boys even enjoyed Aunt Jodi's drunk rambling on the way home........thanks for the entertainment Aunt Jodi!!
We have been working on finishing the basement.............during the process we had to cut a hole in the wall thru the garage to get to the crawl space for the wiring..........the boys (yes, including Seth) and Macey thought is was fun to play in the hole in the wall!!!
Jayden and Dylan are very excited for school this year............Jayden is starting 6th grade (can you believe it middle school - already...wow) and Dylan is starting 1st grade (no big bro at the same school anymore)!! Catching the bus at the house vs. daycare - they are such big boys (and so adorable)!!!
Dylan had celebrated his 6th birthday twice........once with family and another with friends........
We had cake and ice cream and opened presents with the family....... Then the next day he had some friends over (unfortunately it was a cold day in August and we didn't get to play on the water slide) for ice cream cake, presents, and a pinata!!!!! All and all it was a wonderful birthday!!
