Our Football Champ!!!

Jayden was #99 this season!! This was his 2nd season playing football and he was able to start the season with some knowledge of what was to come over the next few months!! He really got in to the game this year and has acquired a LOVE for the game!!!

We really enjoyed watching him from the beginning of the season to the end - wow what a difference a few months makes. He learned something new everyday. Coach Will commented several times at the end of practice talks how much he was impressed with the changes Jayden was making on a regular basis!!

He was fortunate to have Coach Will this season, because he's been coaching for 12+ years and was able to teach Jayden!
He looks forward to playing agin next year and until then he will have fun playing basketball this winter.......be watching for those pictures in the near future!!!
Jayden you are an awesome football player - keep up the good work and you will go far with it-Go Falcons!!

Our Soccer Enthusiast!!!

Dylan's experience with soccer was an adventure! He loved "almost" every minute of it. There were a couple small obsticles to overcome, but he was able to overcome them and fall in love with the sport!! We were worried he wouldn't be able to finish the season after a small broken arm catastrophy........However, after a Blue & Orange hard cast was acquired, he was as good as new!! He's such a tough young man! I'm a little unsure as to whether he enjoyed having dad as Coach Seth or not, but "I" am thankful for it!!!

His first game was a little rough as most of the team had never previously played soccer. After a few practices under their belts they were amazing - Go Broncos!! It seems all the boys on the team had fun and learned a ton - again, thanks Coach Seth!!

Thanks for all the support from his fans that came and watched and cheered him and his team on to many victories!!

He looks forward to playing soccer again in Spring, 2009!

1st Day of Kindergarten!!!

Dylan is off to his very first day of school ever. He is sooooooo extremely excited to see what the hype is all about!!! I soon realized that it's not all it's cracked up to be........the first few days were rough, but he is enjoying it more and more everyday. His teacher absolutely adores him and has only good things to say!! She can't believe how much he loves to get his assignments and stay on task until it's complete - we know it surprised us too!!! He is such a goofball - as you can see in the pictures........to be real honest we were concerned we had the "class clown"!!! However, we believe his older brother has taken that role (we love you Jay)!!!

He loves to read every night! He has learned all of his letters and numbers and counts for us all of the time. We believe his favorite unit so far is patterns - we are learning that EVERYTHING has a pattern and his favorite is anything blue and orange..........go figure!!!

He was heading out the door sporting his new cars backpack - loves it!!

Well, kindergarten here I come!!!

1st Day of 5th Grade!!!

Jayden' s off to his frist day of 5th grade.
WOW, he's growing up so fast!! He is really
excited about the year ahead - the endless nights of homework-woohoo!! Reading, spelling, music, science, social studies, and we can't forget about PE, all things to look forward to in the year to come.....NOT!! He does, however, miss all of his friends and can't wait to see them again. I'm sure he'll have many reminders to stay on task and QUIT TALKING......we know, we don't understand either - we often times wonder if his teachers are talking about the same quiet Jayden that's at home............and Jay just smiles!!!

He had to show off his BSU backpack as he heads out the door!!

Woohoo, here I come 5th grade - ready or not!!

Deer, Frog, Dilly, & Macey

We finally came across several deer. This was the first of 7 (4 of which were fawns) that everyone saw. Chris saw 4 additional deer (2 of which were fawns). Then while finishing fishing at our fishing spot, we saw a frog (chris liked this)!!! After a fun weekend of camping, Dilly was going to dump the container of worms and Macey went to help him.......oh, they are soooo cute!!!

Our Camp Site and Camping Trip

Lost Valley Reservoir - our 2nd camping trip to the same spot. This time Grandpa Simpson joined us and the boys loved it!!! We enjoyed our camp fire, roasting mellows, relaxing at camp, and of course, dylan always being a goof ball!!

A couple of these pictures are of our camp site up on the other side of a mountain. We were riding our 4 wheelers exploring the trails and area, it's all very beautiful!! We also took a break to enjoy some huckelberries!!! They are very delicious as many other people would agree. Around almost every corner was a group of huckleberry pickers from the bottom of the mountain to the middle of the mountain.

There are also more pictures of our fishing hole and us fishing including a picture of several fish that we caught!

Grown-Ups Fishing

We were all (Seth, Chris, & Grandpa Simpson) enjoying the fishing thing. But to watch and help the boys with the fish was way more enjoyable than fishing ourselves!!!!

Jayden's 1st Catch!

Oh, wow - is he excited or what!! His very first time fishing and it didn't take him long to catch on.... Seth is helping him with his first fish. Jayden is so proud of his first fish - he is definitely showing off with a grin bigger than you can imagine! Then, he's just relaxing trying to catch more. We went back to the fishing hole in the evening and he is the only one of the group that caught a fish - he's showing it off in the dark! He couldn't get enough of this fishing thing and insisted that we go back in the morning for one more shot before heading back home. He even got over the sick stomach from the first group of fish cleaning to the last. By the time him and Grandpa Simpson were gutting and cleaning the last of the fish he was in the mess to his elbows with proof all over his shirt, he was loving it!! He said, "When do I get to learn how to hunt Grandpa?" He ended up catching a total of 6 fish (aprox. 11" to 13")!! Now, we have a fisherman for life!!! Awesome job Jay.....you did terrific!!!

Dylan's 1st Catch

This was Dylan's first fishing experience and he was loving it. He did such a wonderful job casting, reeling, and catching the fish. He was so excited to catch his first fish, he's looking at it in amazement. Then, he held it with his hands and the squirmy thing was slipping away. With a grin from ear to ear he is concentrating very hard and showing it off still on the fishing line. We are so proud of how well he did.....he ended up catching a total of 3 fish!!! Good Job Dilly!!!!
